Providing medical care for nearly one million patient visits per year requires many resources. In addition to medical care, many patients at Grady have a variety of social needs that the Grady Health Foundation helps to meet through the generosity of donors.

IDP Department

  • Adult clothing and personal care products

  • School supplies

Neighborhood Health Centers

  • Children’s books (English and Spanish versions), including these favorite titles:
    • “Smile”; “Sorrie”
    • “Farm Animals”; “Los Animales de la Granja”
    • “Good Night Baby”; “Buenas Noches Bebe”
    • Goodnight Moon”; “Buenas Noches Luna”

Social Services/ Trauma Department

  • Magazines and books for waiting area
  • Adult clothing for trauma patients (jogging suits, various sizes)
  • Gift cards including restaurants, grocery stores, and movies
  • Personal care items; travel size toiletries

Teen Services Department

  • Game consoles (PlayStation, GameCube, Gameboy, etc.)
  • Gift cards to restaurants, Wal-Mart, art supply stores
  • DVD movies (rated G, PG or PG-13 only)

Women Health and Infant Services Department

  • Magazines and books for waiting area
  • Children’s books, infant blankets, diapers, bottles, bibs, wipes and onesies
  • Toddler toys including stuffed animals, activity, dolls and learning toys
  • Personal care items; travel size toiletries

PTRR Bike Medic Given Second Chance

"In a little over a week, Grady paramedic Simeon Smith will take part in his fifth Peachtree Road Race, but the 28-year-old won't be running or walking, he'll be riding, as part of the Grady EMS bike medic team. This Fourth of July, Smith will be celebrating his survival."
